BRIDAL REVIEW

Maradee elevated my dress from beautiful to flawless. She resolved the slightest of imperfections while paying homage to the style and executed brilliantly every last detail ensuring that my hem was exactly the perfect length not only as I glided down the aisle accompanied by my father but also as I twirled in the arms of my groom during the first dance. You don’t know how a gown is supposed to fit and flow until you meet Maradee. Although I lived in Los Angeles, I had found and bought my dream gown in New York – it was the one and I knew it immediately. After jetting back and forth for several fittings, there were simply no more trips I could manage while maintaining my schedule as a finance attorney and planning a destination wedding in three months time. As any bride knows, it is highly unlikely that your body will stay the same during the thirty days leading up to the big day, and mine was no exception. Luckily, I was working with a local bridal salon for accessories and rehearsal dinner pieces and my consultant thoughtfully guided me to Maradee. Ten minutes into our first call, I knew that she would be invaluable.

Maradee taught my sister, my matron of honor, how to smooth the layers of tulle under the lace so that the gown would lay evenly; she taught me exactly where my lace shawl should rest on my shoulders to leave undisturbed the neckline of my gown; she advised on the style shoes that would best compliment the flower girl dresses. And she did so with a measured gravitas such that everything she said one time, we remembered. Maradee’s polish did not end with the alterations; rather, she sent me on the plane with my lace gown, veil and shawl packed precisely so that when I reached my destination, no additional preparation was required.

Maradee is a true professional with multiple arrows in her quiver – scrupulous work, unparalleled judgment and a devotion to her craft that, together, make her the best in the business. She is a lovely soul with a quick laugh that easily punctuates the seriousness with which she executes her work as a welcome reminder that your wedding day is meant to be the most special day of your life. I would recommend Maradee without hesitation or qualification. My gown was exquisite, I felt beautiful, and October 11, 2015 was the happiest day of my life!
