BRIDAL REVIEW

Maradee was a dream come true in helping to revitalize my mother's veil she wore at her wedding 43 years ago! Stephanie,December 2016

Her attention to detail was unsurpassed on so many levels. She put a new “vintage looking” comb on our family heirloom, which was extremely beautiful and really kept the original “vintage look” of my mom’s veil. In addition to re creating the veil, Maradee customized a detachable tulle train to fit my J. Mendel gown. She executed my vision perfectly…actually even better than I had ever imagined!

What made this experience so effortless was that she was able to meet me at Saks, where I purchased the gown, so we could meet and make all of the adjustments to the train before my gown was actually delivered. This ensured there was no last minute rushing before the wedding.

After working with Maradee for my wedding gown and veil, I then hired her to help plan/style my “wedding week” looks. Getting married can be overwhelming with all of the decisions, so having her assist and focus on my wardrobe during this time was crucial. My husband and I got married in Kauai, and we had several events planned throughout the week. I consider myself to be quite savvy when it comes to styling, however it was extremely beneficial having a pro finalize the finishing touches on every look.

What made this process even more AMAZING, was her experience as a designer. I (like most women) need to have things altered slightly in order to have the perfect fit.  During our styling appointments, Maradee knew exactly what to do in order to make things fit just right…she helped plan every outfit from my bachelorette party, bridal luncheon, welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, and post wedding brunch.

The weekend before we left to get married, I noticed I lost a few more pounds (naturally given all of the pre wedding jitters). Maradee made a house call, and came to our home to personally adjust/hem my rehearsal dinner outfit!

Maradee was beyond professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable!  My only regret is not having her come with us to Hawaii, so she could personally help make everything look perfect for my walk down the aisle and during photos. If I had to do it all over again, I would ABSOLUTELY have included this, even though I didn’t anticipate needing this extra set of hands.

Planning a wedding is stressful and many wedding coordinators don’t do much when it comes to styling on the big day, as they are focused on ensuring the actual event details go smoothly. If you are a bride-to-be, I would keep this in mind and be sure to talk with your wedding planner about what she/he does and do not underestimate the magnitude of this role.

Thank you Maradee!
